I was born and raised and continue to work, play, and love within the ancestral, traditional and unceded territory of the Stó:lō people, particularly the Scowlitz, Matsqui, Kwantlen and Leq'á:mel First Nations. I have a strong connection with my community. When I'm not teaching sexual health topics, I can be found teaching childbirth education classes, supporting parents through birth as a doula, teaching yoga, exploring the local trails with my family, or frequenting local restaurants and coffee shops.
Growing up in a family where questions of any sort were encouraged, I found my interest in the ways bodies work fostered. Throughout my childhood and youth and to this day I have often been found with my nose in a book revelling in and absorbing facts. It is my greatest pleasure to share what I learn with others in an approachable and objective way. I believe wholeheartedly in the need for comprehensive, inclusive, and current sexual health education. Sexuality is such an integral part of our lives and the development of healthy individuals relies largely on everyone feeling seen and heard. As a Certfied Sexual Health Educator, I strive to bring this to my teachings and look forward to aiding and supporting teachers, and parents and guardians in the deeply important work that they do.
